Sep 19, 2019 | Complex Wide Line Painting Notice to Owners – Complex Wide Line Painting Work is scheduled for: Wednesday September 25, 2019. The work will commence at 9 am. Some parking restrictions will occur throughout the day, cones will be put up in areas where painting will be done advising of any restrictions in the area.

Residents are advised that Uptown Roofing will be on site to clean, inspect and maintain the roofs starting: Monday Sept. 23rd, 2019. Work will commence at 8:00 a.m.
Please be advised that they will be working at the complex for up to 2 weeks and ladders and equipment will be set up against the buildings and on the roofs. There is a possibility that some debris may fall off the buildings. We thank you for your cooperation.
Aug 29, 2019 | Emergency Water Shut Off for Lyra Place, Centaurus Circle and possibly Centaurus Drive Please be advised that the water will be shut off TODAY Thur Aug 29th, 2019. It will remain off for approximately 3 hours for an emergency water valve repair. The units at Centaurus Circle 9020-9030 & Lyra Place 9009-9019 will be off for several hours as the valve to be repaired is for that building.
Jul 15, 2019 | Altair Place Water Supply Line Replacement for units 9002-9008 and 9009-9039 Please be advised that the Altair Place water supply line replacement project for the units noted has started. This work is expected to take approximately 8 – 12 weeks to complete. Please note that there will be periodic water shutdowns during the project. Owners will be notified in advance and the facilities in the Cabana will be made available to those residents affected by the water shutdowns. May 27, 2019 | Roofing Work Lyra Place 9009-9019 & Centaurus Circle 9020-9030 Roofers started work on re-roofing one building on Lyra Place/Centaurus Circle May 21st. The west Lyra parkade is still accessible but is somewhat obstructed by the bin/fencing for the old roof materials. The roof project is anticipated to be completed by end of this week – May 31.
Apr 20, 2019 | Spring Cleaning
TidyBins will be onsite Apr 25th – May 1st 3 Disposal bins will be located in the parking areas on Lyra, Altair and Carina. Please take the opportunity to clean out your carport, decks, patios, parking stall, cupboards, closets, and storage lockers. Permitted items include:
- Bikes and bike parts
- Old mattresses and furniture
- Unused household effects, old clothes, old shoes
- Unwanted sports and camping equipment
- Garden and patio waste matter
- Old Records, Cassette Tapes, VHS Tapes, Discs.
An area will be designated for the following items that cannot be put in the bin. These items will be taken away separately:
- Obsolete computer equipment
- TV’s, VCR’s, stereos and
- other electronic items, etc.
Restricted items: paint, drywall and renovation materials. These must be removed by owners.
Apr 20, 2019 | Fence Staining Fence replacement work is complete. Staining is planned for our next dry weather patch and will progress in stages. Pressure washing the fencing will occur first, and then staining will follow. Fence maintenance work is also starting for several areas around the strata complex.

Mar 25, 2019 | Fence Replacement work update Fence work is on-going and will continue over the course of the next 2 weeks. If the good weather continues fence staining may get started mid-April. An update will be posted once we have the dates firmed up.
Mar 18, 2019 | Fence Replacement work update Contractors were somewhat stalled last week due to issues working around several large cement blocks from previous fencing. The work continues this week with the hope of completing half of the units by the end of this week and the remainder by the end of next week.
Mar 7, 2019 | Fence Replacement work has commenced Contractors have started on the fence replacement. The work will begin in Lyra circle and work around to Centaurus Drive. Fence removal will take place first with all existing fencing cleared. Construction will then begin on post installations and then fence boards and gates. Please note that areas will remain open for some time while the construction takes place.

Feb 19, 2019 | Fence Replacement Please be advised that our fencing contractors will be on site to remove and replace the cedar fences and gates for the following 23 units: Lyra 9009 to 9033, Lyra 9002 to 9008, Centaurus Drive 3021 to 3031. The work will begin on February 28th, 2019 and will take approximately 3 weeks.
Feb 12, 2019 | Salt and Snow Shovels The snow season is heavily upon us. Salt and snow shovels are available for use by strata residents for clearing snow around the strata. Please ensure that any shovels are returned immediately after use to be available for the next person. Shovels/salt can currently be found at the following locations:
- 9030 Altair Place (shovels)
- Altair Place Recycle Station (salt bin)
- 3021 Carina Place (shovels & salt bin)
- 3039 Carina Place (salt bin)
- Lyra Recycle Station (salt bin)
- Lyra parkade entrance (shovels & salt bin) located beside the storage room (Lyra East Parkade off of Centaurus Drive)
Jan 7, 2019 | Vehicle Break-Ins Several incidents of vehicle break-ins occurred the night of Jan 4. The incidents were reported in Lyra West parkade. Crime incidents reported in the area are increasing. Please report any suspicious activity to the police. For all serious crimes, or any crime in progress, please call 911 immediately. For less urgent matters, when police presence is not immediately required, please call the Burnaby RCMP non-emergency number at 604-646-9999.
